Exciting Opportunity for a CAD Operator

Wood is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is integral to our project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering documentation. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record, this position is designed for you.

Compensation: Salary range - $50,000 - $85,000

Final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, education, and the specific skills and qualifications required for the role.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Computer Aided Design technology from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial, mining, or process plant design, or transmission and distribution design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, Raster Design
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 3D, Revit, or Civil 3D

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • 2D and Isometric CAD drafting, as well as manual drafting
  • Knowledge of electrical safety design codes and industrial drafting standards
  • Experience in creating plans, profiles, and cross-sections from surveys and maps
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Open-minded and quick learner
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a multidisciplinary team environment with minimal supervision
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with GIS, Raster Design, or Auto Turn
  • Experience with LISP, VBA programming for AutoCAD
  • 3D modeling experience, including BIM
