About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Waka Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, adhering to food safety and quality standards
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
