We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at The Chef Sushi. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, as well as training and mentoring our staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Standing for Extended Periods: Ability to stand for extended periods, moving around the kitchen and preparing food.
- Dependability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating dependability and a strong work ethic.
