Originator - Agricultural Sales Specialist

Hensall Co-op is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Sales Specialist to join their team. As an Originator, you will be responsible for working with new and existing growers to capitalize on food grade origination opportunities, including IP soybeans and edible dry beans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate contracts for food grade soybeans and edible dry beans
  • Procure commercial grains
  • Assist with retail sales for seed and crop protection products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and provide updates on market trends, quotes, and the ag business overall
  • Record keeping and administration of contract documentation
  • Work with growers on plots and in-field demonstration trials for evaluating new products and practices
  • Maintain sales targets, prospect lists, and product targets that strive to meet the overall organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Agriculture or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' previous experience in a sales position
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License
