GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is a growing firm with a strong presence in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Material Technician/Skilled Labour to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Perform field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt to support construction projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve materials-related issues.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • College-level diploma in a relevant field (e.g., civil engineering, materials science) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general construction activities, materials testing, and inspection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
