Director of Operational Strategies and Risk Management

NBC is seeking a Director to lead its Operational Business Strategies, Resilience, and Risk Management team within the Financial Markets sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust risk management framework for third-party vendors and financial market infrastructures, ensuring effective operational risk mitigation across the organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of experts specializing in Third-Party Risk Management and Financial Market Infrastructures.
- Develop and implement contractual governance frameworks to optimize supplier performance and mitigate potential risks.
- Maintain and enhance the existing governance framework for financial market infrastructures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with executives within the Financial Markets division, providing expert guidance on risk management strategies and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare comprehensive risk reports, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Risk Management, or Business Administration.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in Third-Party Risk Management and Financial Market Infrastructures within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Compliance, Operational Risk Management, and/or Information Technology principles and practices.
- Proven experience in personnel management, including team leadership, performance evaluation, and talent development.
- Fluency in English and French.
