Laboratory Technician

About the Position

The Laboratory Technician will assist in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory and contribute to the overall productivity of the lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Standardize equipment as needed;
  • Process samples according to established procedures;
  • Data entry results;
  • Ensure the quality of the analytical data meets ALS standards and strict QA/QC requirements;
  • Meet Turn Around Times (TAT) and hold times;
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure that instrumentation is in good working order;
  • Keep registers up to date;
  • General laboratory clean-up and maintenance;
  • Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • College Diploma or University Degree with Chemical background;
  • Lab experience an asset;
  • Ability to process data, data reviewing;
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel.
