Oakridge Landscape Contractors is seeking a highly skilled Grounds Superintendent to oversee the maintenance of our commercial properties in the Hamilton area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple commercial sites, supervising grounds-keeping crews, and ensuring the highest level of workmanship and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain knowledge of site operations, including alarm systems, HVAC, and construction practices.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of multiple grounds-keeping crews to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Develop and implement effective snow removal and ice management strategies for multiple sites during winter months.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for all commercial properties.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues or concerns.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve maintenance operations.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Horticultural Studies, Construction, Landscape, Applied Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the landscape or facilities management industry.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
