Regional Market Leader – Water

GHD, a leading professional services company, is seeking a Regional Market Leader – Water to join our team in Eastern Canada. As a key member of our Water business, you will be responsible for driving growth and development of our Water market sector.

About the Role

The Regional Market Leader – Water will be accountable for developing and implementing a business plan to increase GHD's market share in the Water sector. You will work closely with our clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a business plan to drive growth and development of the Water market sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Water sector
  • Develop and deliver high-quality projects and services to meet client needs
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with other Market Sector Leaders to position and win multidisciplinary projects
  • Represent GHD at industry events and conferences

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field (engineering, environmental, etc.)
  • Member of a recognized license association (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, etc.)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a leader
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in project management for key projects
  • Established client base in mining and energy and resources related business markets
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, both verbal and written (English/French)
  • Capability to manage priorities and intervene as needed
  • Ability to adapt leadership style according to team composition
  • Good emotional intelligence
  • Expertise to gather, influence, and motivate a group of professionals
  • Excellent people management and mentoring skills
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams in the bidding, clarification, negotiation, and development of projects
