Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group Canada. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary production team, ensuring the highest quality of food and service, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the culinary production team, ensuring quality, menu creativity, and Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Develop and implement menu cycles and recipes, advising on purchasing and product quality.
  • Conduct special events and tastings to raise the culinary profile of Eurest Dining.
  • Coordinate and support high-profile catered functions.
  • Review services to ensure all health and safety and food safety issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Provide in-unit training for culinary programs, ensuring job-specific and safety training of employees.
  • Identify and implement leading-edge back-of-house and front-of-house operational systems and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent communications and relations with Client's management and guests.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five years related culinary supervisory experience in a fast-paced multi-unit, high-volume production-oriented environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
