Business Development Director

PSC Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to drive the company's growth in the Canadian market. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Canadian business landscape to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Strategy Development: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, partners, and industry trends in Canada. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the Canadian market.
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and engage prospective clients in Canada. Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities, leading negotiations, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Ensure a deep understanding of client needs to deliver customized solutions that drive value.
  • Brand Building: Increase brand awareness and market presence in Canada by representing PSC Group at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Act as the face of the company in the Canadian market.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the U.S. team to ensure alignment of business development strategies and objectives. Provide regular reports on market conditions, sales progress, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all business development activities comply with Canadian laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with entering the new market. Execute business plans to meet sales and other business development goals.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the Canadian market.
  • Sales or operations experience in the Canadian petrochemical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian business landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key industry sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and to the U.S. as needed.
