Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Athlete Services and Engagement. This key role will work closely with athletes representing or aspiring to represent Canada at the Paralympic Games, providing support and guidance to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Support Para Athlete Representation: Collaborate with athletes to establish and support their representation in decision-making processes, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Develop and Implement Athlete Engagement Strategies: Design and implement programs to engage athletes, promote mentorship and education opportunities, and support transition and initiatives promoting safe sport practices.
  • Manage Athlete Services Programming: Oversee the delivery of athlete services, including outreach and engagement, athlete leadership, athlete wellness and safe sport, athlete requests, and related programming.
  • Collaborate with Sport Partners: Work closely with sport partners to develop and implement programs that support athlete development and success.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a Relevant Field: A master's degree in kinesiology, sports management, or a related field is required.
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Sports Development: A minimum of 5 years of experience in sports development, with a focus on athlete engagement and support services.
  • Strong Understanding of the Canadian Sport System: A deep understanding of the Canadian sport system, including the roles and responsibilities of athletes, coaches, and national sport organizations.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders.
