Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Install Metal Corner Beads: Protect exterior corners with precision and attention to detail.
  • Fabricate and Install Suspended Metal Ceiling Grids: Create and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill Joints and Nail Indentations: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, Cut, and Install Drywall Sheets: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets with precision and accuracy.
  • Position and Secure Sheets: Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists with care and attention to detail.
  • Smooth Out Excess Compound: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry with precision and attention to detail.
  • Tape Over Joints: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound with care and attention to detail.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work sites and locations. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player.
Working Conditions

You will work a standard 40-hour week with occasional overtime as required. You will be required to work in a variety of locations and environments, including outdoors and in dusty conditions.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
