About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at PRABHSIMRAN CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects
    • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts for optimal drywall installation
  • Installation
    • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth finish
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish
    • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
    • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Finishing
    • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Maintenance
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
    • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Health and Safety
    • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages while maintaining a high level of safety awareness
    • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as needed
  • Communication
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation or equivalent experience
    Working Conditions
    • 40 hours per week
    • Work Term: Permanent
    • Work Language: English
