Rehabilitation Support Specialist

The Rehabilitation Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This temporary position involves working in various settings, including group homes and clients' residences, to provide essential support and services.
Work EnvironmentThe role is situated in a rural area, where staff accommodation is provided, and relocation costs are covered by the employer. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct administrative and office activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Design and implement specialized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual client needs.
- Facilitate life skills workshops to empower clients.
- Assess clients' skills and development requirements to create personalized support plans.
- Coordinate and deliver specific community services effectively.
- Manage housekeeping and food preparation tasks as needed.
- Resolve conflicts and supervise client activities in group home settings.
- Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social events.
While formal education is not required, relevant experience is considered an asset. Candidates should possess certifications such as:
- Behaviour Management Certification
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
