Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical service, consultation, assessment, and treatment using individual, family, and group modalities.
About the RoleThis is a regular full-time position within the Child and Youth Mental Health Ambulatory Services (CYMH-AS) Outpatient Team at McMaster Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and evidence-based mental health services to children and youth residing in Hamilton.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical service, including consultation, assessment, and treatment using individual, family, and group modalities.
- Conduct research and program evaluation activities, including leadership in externally funded quality improvement research.
- Provide education to and supervision of staff and other learners within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.
- Participate in the development of an ongoing staff in-service program.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. The successful candidate will also have expertise in a cognitive behavioural therapy and extensive knowledge and current experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex anxiety and mood disorders in children and adolescents.
