Position Overview:
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Academic Clinical Psychologist. This full-time faculty position offers a unique opportunity to engage in both clinical practice and academic research within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent and innovative research in neurocognitive and functional disorders, as well as in addictions medicine.
- Teach and supervise graduate students, psychometrists, and neuropsychology residents, fostering the next generation of clinical psychologists.
- Participate actively in departmental committees and contribute to the collaborative academic environment.
- Enhance the department's strengths in addictions and cognitive disorders through academic activities.
Qualifications:
- A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited program, with licensure as a Psychologist in Ontario.
- Specialty certification in Clinical Psychology (Adult) or an equivalent designation.
- Demonstrated experience in academic research and teaching, particularly in neurocognitive disorders and addictions.
- Evidence of research productivity, including publications in reputable journals and presentations at significant conferences.
- Current employment as a Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist within a recognized healthcare organization.
