Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at KRG Technology Inc. as a Microsoft Desktop Support Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, ensuring seamless resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized technical support for customer's end users, including problem diagnosis and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Route complex problems to onsite support staff and coordinate with vendors and support staff to resolve issues.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and support staff to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Utilize client management tools such as Apple Remote Desktop, Deploy Studio, Package maker, FileWave, and Casper to streamline support processes.
  • Develop and implement scripting and programming skills using languages such as Python, Ruby, C, C++, and Objective C to automate support tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Windows-based systems and troubleshoot common Macintosh applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Quark Xpress, MS Office, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Perform mass upgrades and patch management of Mac OS and software, as well as product installation and application patches deployment.
  • Collaborate with onsite support staff to obtain technical knowledge and resolve chronic problems.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years diploma in Information Technology or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in help desk, customer service, and support roles, with a focus on problem-solving involving hardware, software, and networks.
  • Phone support experience and technical helpdesk or technical call center experience are essential.
  • Hands-on work experience with Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 7, XP, 2000, and 98.
  • Experience with remote desktop connectivity applications, VPN, and remote dial-in users.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Outlook/Exchange.
  • Ability to work in an on-site/off-shore model, ensuring seamless communication with the offshore team to achieve service levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with critical deadlines simultaneously.
