Job Description

LeverageTek IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining desktop software and hardware.
  • Participate in IT projects, including the installation, support, and troubleshooting of approved desktop software.
  • Provide onsite support services to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, providing clear and concise technical information.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory administration/troubleshooting.
  • 1 year of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting supported versions of Microsoft Office.
  • 1 year of experience supporting and troubleshooting local area network (LAN) and VPN connectivity issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing professional assistance to external clients experiencing hardware technical problems.
  • Experience assisting other support teams with onsite troubleshooting.
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing network gear, switches, routers, and other network hardware replacements.

Assets:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent certification and experience.
  • A+ Certification, MCTS, MCITP, or ITIL Certification.

Special Conditions:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work on call after hours as required.
