Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Humber River Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to chronically ventilated and acutely ill patients with respiratory health problems.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide other nursing interventions as needed.
  • Conduct assessments, monitor patient progress, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing program.
  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Experience providing care to patients with ventilators, tracheostomy, central lines, complex wounds, and feeding tubes is an asset.
  • Competency in skills such as intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy, wound care, medication administration, etc.
