Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Humber River Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat mental health patients in the acute phase of their illness
  • Utilize the primary care nursing model to provide effective care
  • Perform mental status examinations and crisis interventions
  • Take on resource and team leader responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as supportive interventions and therapeutic group activities

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS/CPR certification
  • BScN or a degree in health sciences preferred
  • Minimum 2 years recent mental health nursing experience preferred
  • Formal CPI certification preferred
  • Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing required or willingness to obtain when eligible
