Health and Safety Manager

SaskEnergy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our health and safety management programs and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and will provide leadership and guidance to our teams to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety management programs and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to assigned workgroups to ensure effective and efficient delivery of health and safety services.
- Conduct accident investigations and provide professional advice and assistance to operational groups.
- Provide technical advice and support to SHE committees, operation management, and executives on health and safety strategies, policies, and programs.
- Research and recommend innovative industry health and safety trends and practices.
- Manage and provide leadership for the annual Safety Stand Up Program.
- Act as the corporate contact for the health and safety workgroup for the Canadian Gas Association (CGA), the Pipeline Association, and other external agencies.
- Coordinate and complete SaskEnergy's internal and external audits.
- Develop and administer Health & Safety's departmental budget ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Degree in Business Administration, Health Science, or Social Science.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation or equivalent.
- Six (6) years in safety and health activities in the petroleum industry.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
