Job Title: Associate MMCC

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate MMCC to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our news operations, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sports, news, e-commerce, and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative content strategies to engage and build our audiences.
  • Collaborate with our team to create fast-paced, compelling, and informative news content for our digital properties and broadcast on our television and radio news programs.
  • Pitch and develop story ideas, including breaking news and enterprise news, and work with our team to bring them to life.
  • Edit and publish digital content in our content management system (WordPress) and/or manage television content in our television content management system (Inception).
  • Visual editing skills, including the ability to add keys and graphics prior to digital publishing.
  • Basic still and video photography skills, including the ability to add those photos and videos to digital and broadcast content.
  • Distribute and amplify content, including breaking news and push alerts, to our internal and external platforms.
Requirements:
  • Strong editorial judgement and a passion for local news.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in digital content management systems and video editing software.
  • Basic still and video photography skills.
