The Project Manager, BRC, is a key role in our organization responsible for managing concrete formwork projects. This position requires a strong leader who can ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor the critical path on the master schedule.
- Manage and monitor all assigned aspects of the schedule and prepare schedule(s).
- Conduct daily meetings with the Superintendent to ensure coordination of the project.
- Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to coordinate activities, review progress, and address issues.
- Identify project-staffing needs.
- Meet with the Project Director/Project Manager and Chief Estimator to understand how the project was envisioned during the bidding process.
- Develop the overall plan for constructing the project, including methodology, means, and master schedule.
- Monitor tool and equipment usage and intervene as necessary.
- Require extensive knowledge of cost accounting/reporting system, labour productivity, projection reports, and expense projections to recognize and correct cost overruns and compensate for estimating mistakes.
- Require ability to make and communicate monthly updates to superiors and clients.
- Control expenses and costs on the project. Regularly study the labour productivity report and budget status. Take action as required to keep the project on budget.
- Manage risk exposures on the project.
- Build a positive, results-oriented culture among the project team. Challenge the project team to achieve results they may not think is possible.
- Observe and monitor the performance of the Superintendent. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance their performance.
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with subcontractors.
- Ensure the project meets quality and performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
- BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- 2 to 7 years of experience in project engineering, construction, project management, estimating, or related activities with exposure to projects of moderate scope.
