Job Title: Special Education Technician - Project Harbour: Behaviour

The English Montreal School Board is seeking a highly skilled Special Education Technician to join our team at Project Harbour: Behaviour. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to design and implement special education programs that meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, families, and community partners to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide direct support to students with special needs, including behavioral interventions and academic support.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a related field, such as special education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
