About the Role

Fiera Real Estate Investments Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director to join our Real Estate Financing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the origination, due diligence, and portfolio management of our real estate investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the origination and due diligence process for new real estate financing opportunities
  • Contribute to the preparation of credit committee presentations and internal memos
  • Assist with the credit application process and drafting of commitment letters
  • Prepare internal memorandums regarding transaction amendments and loan tracking
  • Complete and analyze due diligence searches and discuss results with the team
  • Assist with ongoing portfolio management, including loan tracking and financial monitoring
  • Verify and analyze data regarding new real estate financing opportunities
  • Coordinate transaction activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the research and development of business opportunities and attend prospect meetings
  • Maintain current knowledge of the real estate environment through ongoing research and networking
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional designation (CFA, CPA, AACI, etc.) is an asset
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in real estate
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Reasonable knowledge of loan structuring and documentation
  • Ability to analyze market trends and relate them to the Fiera Real Estate business
  • Ability to operate in a fast-growing, results-oriented environment while meeting demanding deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and be proactive
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Works well in a team environment, able to multi-task
  • Ability to liaise with legal counsel or other external stakeholders in relation to due diligence and transaction documentation
