Front Desk Representative

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our team at Empire Inn & Suites Red Deer. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Key Responsibilities:- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure a seamless check-in experience.
- Reservation Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, while maintaining accurate records.
- Guest Information: Provide guests with information on hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Departure Process: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and professional manner.
- Cash Handling: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and maintain accurate records.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow established emergency and safety procedures.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and assist guests with special needs.
- Mentorship Programs: Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities with experienced employees.
