Position Overview: Veterinary Receptionist

At BluePearl, our Veterinary Receptionists play a crucial role in the success of our facility. In this role, you will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients encounter. Your responsibility will be to ensure that every client receives the attention and care they require. You must be able to maintain composure and compassion in emotionally charged and challenging situations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients with a warm smile and professional demeanor every time they enter our facility.
  • Maintain an approachable and friendly presence at all times.
  • Actively listen with compassion to clients' needs.
  • Communicate clearly and calmly, both in person and over the phone, ensuring clients easily understand.
  • Assess each client's unique needs and their pet's overall condition upon arrival.
  • Determine the urgency of emergency situations accurately.
  • Handle non-patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Confirm all appointments in advance, providing clients with precise information on how to prepare their pets.
  • Offer emotional support and resources to clients who are grieving in a sensitive and respectful manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a thorough and compassionate process.
