Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective automated systems aimed at boosting productivity, enhancing accuracy, maintaining consistency, minimizing redundancy, and meeting quality standards.
  2. Identify engineering solutions for mechanical, electrical, robotic, pneumatic, and hydraulic challenges.
  3. Create new code and modify existing code for programmable devices, including robots, servo drives, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), adhering to company standards.
  4. Support and evaluate the automation preventative maintenance initiative.
  5. Conduct research to identify superior and more economical products for the implementation of new systems or upgrades to existing ones.
  6. Provide financial justification for new initiatives and enhancements to current automated systems, ensuring project completion within the approved budget.
  7. Participate in new business quotations and assess the feasibility of new product manufacturing.
  8. Guide the maintenance of all production equipment, including robotic systems, servo drives, PLCs, leak-test units, and safety devices.
  9. Collaborate closely with tool shops in the design and construction of new automated tooling and systems.
  10. Engage with 8D Teams and implement necessary corrective actions.
  11. Support and maintain KAIZEN and ITS initiatives.
  12. Undertake special projects as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (4-year BS preferred). Candidates with other engineering degrees such as manufacturing or industrial may also be considered.
  • Preferred experience in engineering, design, and manufacturing.

  • Self-motivated and responsible individual, capable of taking initiative.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as necessary.
  • Ability to travel as required for customer and supplier engagements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) is preferred.
