Role Overview
The Senior Contract Administrator will play a crucial role in overseeing contract management processes. This position involves:
- Negotiating and reviewing contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Organizing and maintaining comprehensive project contract documentation.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitating communication and resolving contract-related issues among internal teams and stakeholders.
- Developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and change orders.
- Preparing and submitting contract invoices while managing the contract close-out process.
- Collaborating with project managers and other teams to drive project success.
- Responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) promptly.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Assembling revisions of construction drawings, including site plans, floor plans, and details.
- Representing the firm as the project Contract Administrator during scheduled site meetings.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in contract administration within the architecture or construction sectors.
- A degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, building technologies, construction methodologies, and material applications.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and experience with large-scale institutional projects.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage deadlines and deliverables effectively.
- A self-motivated individual eager to take on increasing responsibilities and grow within the firm.
