Metallurgy Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgy Supervisor to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Assay Laboratory and Metallurgy, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of assay samples and mill performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Assay team, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement industry-standard assay procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with the mill, geological, and mining departments to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
- Conduct metallurgical tests, including carbon attrition and activity, bottle roll cyanidation, diagnostic leach, flocculation, and GRG tests, to optimize plant performance.
- Manage reagent inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels and minimizing waste.
- Provide technical documentation and support for operational decisions, utilizing operational excellence methodologies to uphold high-quality standards.
- Foster a strong safety culture, engaging and empowering team members to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Process, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) is an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Metallurgy, with a minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in mineral processing and extraction, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with proficiency in computer applications and metallurgical software.
