About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As the Area Inspector specializing in Safety, your role will involve:

  • Supporting management and staff in health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Participating in JOHSE meetings and leading toolbox discussions.
  • Coordinating and delivering health and safety training sessions.
  • Managing safety documentation and maintaining training records.
  • Conducting investigations into incidents and proposing corrective actions.
  • Promoting the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) within workplace practices.
  • Assisting in inspections and hazard assessments to ensure compliance.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma along with five years of relevant experience in construction or related fields.
  • Proven knowledge of safety regulations and practices, particularly in OHS and environmental management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management systems.
  • Certification in Temporary Workplace Signing, First Aid, and WHMIS.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Working Conditions
