Job Summary

North York General Hospital is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our inter-professional care team, you will work independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function to the full scope of nursing practice per the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members
  • Think critically and prioritize tasks to meet patient needs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of transfers and lifts
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Assume a leadership role and demonstrate self-motivation in continuing education
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to perform in emergency situations

Qualifications

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
