Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Co-op

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Co-op student to join our team at FortisBC. As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to the design and operation of our gas system, including stress analysis, equipment sizing, and selection.

Responsibilities:

  • Design natural gas facilities and pipelines, including stress analysis and equipment sizing and selection
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders and team members to complete capital projects
  • Perform engineering assessments, identify opportunities and deficiencies, and complete written reports/proposals for existing and proposed infrastructure
  • Research and develop design standards
  • Recommend process improvements and ensure compliance to company and industry codes and standards

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program with a Mechanical focus, preferably in the third or fourth year
  • Enrolled in a Co-op program
  • Valid driver's license and current abstract
