Job Title: Senior Backend Developer

Job Summary:

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Content Distribution team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Collaborate with our team of developers to ensure seamless integration with our frontend and middleware systems.
  • Work closely with our architects to ensure our systems meet industry standards and are scalable for future growth.
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases and suites to ensure quality and quick deployments.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks, such as JUnit.
  • Knowledge of HTTP web servers, such as Tomcat.
  • Experience working on platforms such as Linux and MacOS.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
