We are currently seeking a Fugitive Emissions Specialist to join our Emission Management & Services Team. This role will be based in Calgary and will primarily focus on conducting fugitive emissions assessments in accordance with regulatory directives.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct fugitive emissions surveys utilizing advanced gas-imaging technology.
- Measure and quantify leaks using various instruments including Hi Flow Sampler and Gas Detectors.
- Document and tag leaking components, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of fugitive emissions reports as per regulatory requirements.
- Perform comprehensive inventories of pneumatic controllers, vents, pumps, and gas-fired equipment.
- Execute compressor vent testing in compliance with established directives.
- Conduct emission testing for engines and boilers under relevant regulations.
- Support senior staff on diverse projects, ensuring timely and effective completion of project requirements.
- Degree or technical diploma in environmental science or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas operations.
- Familiarity with AER Directive 060, MOE PNG036, BC DPR, and MSAPR.
- Willingness to travel and work in field conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Good physical health and capability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
