Job Summary

KLC Hospitality Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to health and safety standards.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Quality Control
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate inventory management.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
    • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Attention to detail is essential in maintaining high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
    • Personal Suitability
      • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills are essential in providing exceptional customer service.
      • Flexibility and adaptability are required in a fast-paced environment.
    • Support for Indigenous People
      • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
      • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
      • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
      • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
    • Work Term
