We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineering Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of our enterprise infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:- Diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide input on infrastructure assignments and projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain incident management ticket queues to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee the backup environment to ensure successful completion and quarterly restore tests.
- Support the design, analysis, development, and implementation of infrastructure solutions for business projects.
- Ensure operational documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Automate repeatable operational tasks to improve efficiency.
- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Risk assessments and capacity planning to ensure optimal infrastructure utilization.
- Developing budget forecasts for infrastructure projects.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for vendors.
- Exercising creativity and judgment in conceiving and delivering initiatives.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Windows-based virtualized operating environment.
- Experience with mainstream Windows virtualization technologies.
- Customer-oriented approach with a service-oriented mindset.
- Microsoft-based certification required; cloud-based certification preferred.
- Schedule flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- English/French bilingual.
- Experience with storage networks and storage systems.
- Experience with Microsoft platform-as-a-service technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Virtual/Remote desktop infrastructure.
- Certification or experience with Microsoft SQL databases and scripting.
