Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineering Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Provide input on infrastructure assignments and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations and changes.
  • Oversee the backup environment, ensuring successful completion of backup jobs and schedules.
  • Support the design, analysis, development, and implementation of infrastructure solutions for business projects and work requests.
  • Ensure operational documentation is maintained and up to date.
  • Automate repeatable operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis to ensure 24/7 infrastructure coverage.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
Additional Tasks:
  • Participate in risk assessments and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability.
  • May serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and partners.
  • Exercise creativity and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering infrastructure initiatives.
  • Use knowledge and experience to advise functional leaders on infrastructure-related matters.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Windows-based virtualized operating environment.
  • Experience with mainstream Windows virtualization technologies.
  • Customer-oriented approach, recognizing the service-oriented approach required by technical support.
  • Microsoft-based certification required; cloud-based certification preferred.
  • Schedule flexibility required to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to support production issues or to support project implementations.
Nice-to-Have:
  • English/French bilingual.
  • Experience with storage networks and storage systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft platform-as-a-service technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Virtual/Remote desktop infrastructure.
  • Certification or experience with Microsoft SQL databases and scripting.
