About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Methodologist to join our team at the BC Cancer Research Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on epidemiologic, clinical, and health services research and knowledge translation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced research and knowledge translation projects, including data analysis and interpretation, to inform cancer control strategies.
  • Provide leadership and coordination to designated staff on research and knowledge translation projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop research frameworks, methodologies, and approaches to achieve cancer control goals.
  • Synthesize and promote research findings through knowledge translation strategies, including education and training for staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop and edit scientific manuscripts, reports, and other knowledge translation products, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
  • Critically evaluate and appraise complex data and analytic project needs, addressing methodologic and other problems to ensure project completion.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public or Population Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in research design, data analysis, and knowledge translation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a population health or academic research environment, with a strong track record of research and knowledge translation projects.
  • Experience with qualitative and mixed methods research, as well as knowledge of related software and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of population health research issues, including epidemiologic, health services, and statistical methods, with a focus on cancer control studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and provide direction and coordination to designated staff, while also collaborating with colleagues and external partners.
