About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Boston Pizza. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and stored, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Dishroom Operations: Operate dishwashers, wash and dry dishes, glassware, and utensils, and store them in a clean and organized manner.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Stock Management: Restock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and recyclables, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain all kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the kitchen.
