About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Northern Star Hotel & Convention Center. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including loading buspans and trays, placing dishes in storage areas, and sanitizing and washing dishes and other items by hand.
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Handle and store cleaning products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Carry and replace linen, including tablecloths, napkins, and towels.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized at all times.
    • Assist with stock replenishment, including restocking refrigerators and salad bars.
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • Will train on the job.
