Executive Chef

NEW TOKYO SUSHI JAPANESE RESTAURANT is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment will be essential in ensuring the success of our restaurant. In addition to cooking, you will also be responsible for inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ordering supplies and equipment, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas. The successful candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role. The work setting will be in a restaurant environment, and the tasks will include preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ordering supplies and equipment, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas. The financial benefits will include gratuities, and the work term will be permanent. The work language will be English, and the hours will be 30 to 40 hours per week.
