Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents within our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the hospital premises, including interior and exterior areas, to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including medical emergencies, altercations, and other situations that may arise.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service skills to patients, staff, and visitors, including de-escalating conflicts and providing support during stressful situations.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service, as well as write reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences.
  • Training and Certification: Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License, be proficient in English, and hold certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Certifications: Valid Ontario Security Guard License, Use of Force (UoF), and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications.
  • Health and Safety: Proof of double Covid Vaccination and Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2).
