Position Summary

Reporting to the F&B Supervisor(s) and F&B Manager(s), the Part-Time Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service within a dynamic casino environment. This role encompasses preparation tasks, side duties, inventory management, and collaboration within a team setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all employees.

Key Accountabilities

  • Promote food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage service to guests and servers.
  • Manage all financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate any potential issues or concerns regarding responsible beverage service.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and positive service to guests at all times, embodying the values of Great Canadian Entertainment.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with guests, ownership, employees, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualifications

  • Embrace the Great Canadian Entertainment culture and philosophy, demonstrating a playful, guest-centric attitude.
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education is required.
  • Previous experience handling cash transactions is essential.
  • One year of bartending experience in a bar or pub setting is required.
  • Point of sale (POS) system experience is necessary.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods is required.
  • Proven strong sales and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with guests about Responsible Beverage Service and recognize signs of potential intoxication.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a pleasant, positive, self-motivated individual with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

Work Environment Considerations

This role typically involves a regular casino, restaurant, or bar environment. Expect prolonged standing and walking, potential exposure to noise and odors, and tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.
