Job Title: Water / Wastewater Maintenance Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water / Wastewater Maintenance Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, valves, and other equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Monitor and analyze laboratory results to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Valid MECP Water / Wastewater operating certificate(s) and/or licenses as per facility requirements.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License.
  • Post-secondary education in an Environmental program or Technical Trade (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) is required.

Working Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards. You must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds (25 kgs) and work in confined spaces.
