Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water / Wastewater Maintenance Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and chemical dosing systems.
  • Monitor and control process parameters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal plant performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and components.
  • Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Valid MECP Water / Wastewater operating certificate(s) and/or licenses as per facility requirements.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License.
  • Post-secondary education in an Environmental program or a Technical Trade (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to physical demands, including lifting, bending, and working at heights. The ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively is essential.
