As a Staff ASIC Design Engineer at Infinera, you will be part of a world-class team building leading-edge chips for the Coherent Optics market. You will work on subsystem development in large mixed-signal optical coherent DSP ASICs, collaborating with system architects to define specs and micro-architectures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and optimizing micro-architectures and RTL for high-performance ASICs
  • Collaborating with system architects to define specs and micro-architectures
  • Developing and debugging complex ASIC designs
  • Working with layout teams to ensure quality final products

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 2-7 years of ASIC design experience
  • Strong design and debugging skills
  • Working knowledge of DSP/FEC and communication theories
  • Good problem-solving skills and teamwork

Assets include:

  • Working knowledge of MatLab and scripting languages
  • Knowledge of OTN, CAUI, and telecom protocols
  • Design experience with Ethernet standards 100G to 800G
