Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Manager to join our team at Westmoreland Mining LLC. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our site(s) and ensuring that our operations meet or exceed site objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to site operational leaders on HR-related matters.
  • Supervise site support employees, including HR generalists and specialists, payroll, and administrative support.
  • Manage site HR activities, such as recruiting, performance management, employee/labor relations, disciplinary action, and local talent management efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Research, analyze data, and prepare quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions, and current program goals and progress.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and make recommendations to operations and HR leadership for remediation.
  • Perform related work as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
  • HR Certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, business acumen, leadership, and strategic skills.
