Job Summary

Spectrum Health Care Inc. is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to support our team in Markham. This role will involve leading the HR Team at our York branch and providing essential support to our management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a resource for Managers on health and safety matters
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment for manager roles and above
  • Rotate all other staff orientation with the Coordinator
  • Manage front-line staff leaves of absence, including requests, processing documentation, and monitoring timelines
  • Support the HR Manager as needed in managing employee relations complaints and grievances
  • Act as a resource for managers and support managers in applying the performance management and progressive discipline policy
  • Update employee files with performance appraisal information
  • Run reports from the learning management system to record compliance for employee file purposes
  • Ensure staff complete mandatory training as required
  • Facilitate branch transfers, including updating employment letters/agreements and coordination
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess a post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a CHRP designation preferred.

Minimum 4 years' experience in human resources management in various roles, with a strong emphasis on positive employee relations, is required.

A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in people management is also necessary, along with experience working with employee groups and managers to resolve issues.

Demonstrated experience in maintaining a positive work environment is a must.
